    When summer comes, most mothers think about how to protect their child from the sun, because our body faces many health and skin problems. Not to mention the impact on children when adults are sweltering in the summer heat. But it is during this season that children are on long vacation. So they spend a long time in the sun.

    Babies have sensitive and delicate skin. So parents should do some things to keep kids healthy this summer season. Let’s see what they are in this post.

    Dress in soft and appropriate colors

    Dress children only in soft fabrics and appropriate colors. Also, wear full-sleeved clothing so that skin cells are protected from the sun’s harmful rays. Dress the baby or child in loose, lightweight clothing made of sweat-wicking cotton. This is one of the best ways to have summer care even when the kids go to school.

    Children lose fluids due to sweating in summer. Warning signs of dehydration are rapid breathing and fatigue. So babies below 6 months should be breastfed frequently, and school-going children should be given enough water and other hydrating fluids like buttermilk, lemon water or coconut water.

    Sunscreen

    It is important to use sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun during the hot season. But it is better to consult a doctor before using it on children.

    Fruits

    Fruits are rich in nutrients that are beneficial for the skin. If your child regularly consumes fruits, their body will stay cool and the skin will get moisture. That is why it is important to give fruits to children often in summer.

    Bathing your baby 2-3 times a day to protect your child or baby during the summer will reduce the heat impact on their body and is a fun way to keep them busy during the summer holidays. Swimming is another great way to keep your baby hydrated.

    Avoid exposing children to the sun between 11 am and 4 pm to protect your child from heat waves. Children’s skin is more susceptible to damage than adults’, so it’s best to keep children indoors during peak sun.

    By using this brimmed hat, we can avoid UV rays from hitting our face directly. It is also safe for our eyes. Caps and masks do not completely cover our face and back neck. Children don’t wear hats with enthusiasm, but they must be taught to use hats.
